Reviews weren't excellent but it was in our way to the beach and we've tried a few of the other places on this strip and we like to try new thing. Place looks inviting from the outside though looks more like a bar than a restaurant. 2 of the walls facing the street are garage doors which were open as it was a gorgeous day. Waitress was very nice and recommended crab cakes which did look amazing at table next to us. We opted for Grouper Sandwich and tacos. If you've read some of my previous reviews, you know how picky I am about fish and want it to be fresh. This definitely was. Very well cooked, seasoned, and juicy. I did mine grilled, my wife chose blackened and it was perfect. Many places over spice the blackened to take away from the often dry fish. Not in this case. The coleslaw had oranges in it and was wonderful as well. The fries were perfectly cooked and crisp. Overall, great experience. Good place to stop at for a quick bite.

When you're a dive beach bar, they're isn't much you have to do other than keep the beers full and keep the place clean and up to date. Most of the beer selections on their board they don't even have. I can't remember the last time I saw more lame beer on tap in the area. I mean Bud, Bud Light, and the like? People still drink that crap? We live in one of the fastest growing beer scenes in the nation, and no local beers on draft? Fail! The crowd was super local, everyone seemed to know everyone, but that just led to a bunch of yelling and shouting among the customers, staff, and basically everyone except us. It was also pretty rough in the cleanliness department as you are able to smoke inside. I think they have tried a bit too hard to be a dive bar, maybe it's time to take this cool location to the next level?

I would like to say that I tried the food at 18 On The Rocks. However, we never got that far. We arrived at 11:50am and a few people were at the bar. We sat at a table. We were the only people our waitress had to wait on. The bartender came out and got our drink orders. After a few minutes, our waitress tried to take our drink orders again. A minute later the drinks arrived. Then we waited for a few more minutes until our waitress finally came up to us and asked if we had questions. My friend told me about this place and that they have $13 lb lobster on Tuesday. Their website said $14.99 lobster. I asked out waitress and was told $18. With the increased price we decided to order one lobster meal and one pasta meal to split. We asked for a few seconds to make a decision on the second meal. 15 minutes later we were staring down the waitress trying to get her attention to order. She was standing by the bar stroking her hair (which is unsanitary. .but that is another conversation) and dancing. She refused to look at us. She then walked past us to wait on another table that had just arrived. Still no eye contact. On her way back past us she looked me in the eyes, smiled and kept walking. WTF? After about 30 mins of being at the restaurant without being able to order, we decided to leave. I had to scream across at our waitress to get her attention and ask for the check. She then tried to act sweet and said we would regret not getting the lobster and they had plenty. I was ticked. As we left a guy at the bar (owner? Manager?) decided to look concerned and told us to have a nice day. Too late. We will not be back. It isn't worth a good price on Lobster if you are ignored, treated like a hassle and it takes all day.

Went here last week while on vacation because we read on yelp they had live music ... Music was good, but the food and service were outstanding! The crab cakes were the best I've ever had- the freshest without filler. The waitress Kristen was superb- attentive, witty and she made great conversation. I would recommend the place!

Ridiculously good food, great atmosphere, on the beach. ..must try. Great service. Fresh fish, craft beers. Go for the relaxation, stay for the food.

Dive beach bar about a block from the water. The location isn't great but the vibe is good and so is the food. Drinks were a steal, too. A good place that hit the spot after a day at the beach.

I don't often give 5 stars, but when a place does the job right they deserve it. Everything we have tried is just a little better than other places we've been to. The clam chowder, loaded with clams. The conch fritters, loaded with conch. The crab cakes, you guessed it, loaded with crab. My wife and I are very impressed and our palates are extremely happy.

Food is so fantastic that it's beyond words. The sea food is simply worth million $ . The best service and most friendly staff. The manager , Todd is so good and bartender Shari makes the best Long Island of this universe . If you don't go this place, it's your bad luck .

Huge disappointment !! Got take out shrimp pasta with cream sauce because my son was sick. The Alfredo was so runny it didn't even stay on the pasta. Portions were small and came with no salad. A tiny piece of bread with fake garlic spread accompanied it. With so many other choices in the area I definitely won't be returning

Service was good, manager friendly. We had the $15 lobster dinner. Lobster was cooked perfectly, vegetable side was fresh and delicious. The rice was average. I enjoyed the few bites of French fries from my sons plate more! Both chocolate cake and key lime pie were yummy. I would visit again!

Patrick, turns out the bass was a band, so no problem. And I've been back again and it isn't as divey as I thought, but has more of a beach bar feel to it. Haven't had the food yet but people seem to like it. And the prices are actually great and bartenders are awesome! Definitely love this place now. I'll be back soon I'm sure!

Great place to have a drink and unwind! Right across the street from the beach. Nice outdoor seating area. Drink prices are so affordable!!! Have a decent selection of a late night menu as well. Never had a bad experience.

These guys have been in the restaurant business for many years! The food is fresh well prepared and the service is great. This is the new hot spot on the beach! If you want food fun and a good atmosphere this is the place to go! Everything is very fresh and if you like spicy try the Buffalo shrimp or if you like creamy try any of the pasta dishes! You will be making a mistake if you passed this place by because places like this are few and far between! My wife and I split the dinner and could not finish it and had plenty to take home. On the weekends they have music and lots of night life. I plan to come back here very often!

Stopped in for a beer and stayed for a burger. It was great. Fun environment. Great happy hour prices. Sweet and pleasant waitress was attentive and speedy. Manager Todd was making sure all was well. Nice, engaging guy. Burger was good, big and cooked well, juicy and flavorful. Fries were hot, crisp and seasoned well. Tangy Cole slaw. Nice visit. Nice crowd. I will be back.

I stopped by since I was in the area and I was hungry. The ordered hot shelled shrimp and the clam chowder. When I ordered the clam chowder the waitress told me that that was an excellent choice because it is delicious. Well, the clam chowder did not disappoint, AT ALL. If you visit this establishment please try the clam chowder. The shelled shrimp also had an simple but tasteful sprinkle of seasonal of some type on the shrimp. Usually when I get shelled shrimp it is just served "as is", but the shelled shrimp was enjoyable, as well. If I lived here I would certainly be a regular here.

Went to the beach for some lobster because my wife heard of this amazing restaurant. We got there early (11:50 am) on a tuesday and one would think that things would be smooth and fast. How wrong could I be! So we sat in the bar area at one of the high top tables thinking that since we were the only ones at a table we would get in and out. O hhhh the miss step we made! We ordered our drinks (no problem) and here is where things go south. We ask about a special on the menu and ask for a minute to discuss our thoughts thinking that she'd be right back. Sooo so wrong of us. She stood at the bar with her back to us, she never even looked in our direction to see if we needed new drinks. When she did make eye contact she smiled and rushed pass like we were the last thing she needed to deal with. 25 min. Wait to order food with 4 guys sitting at the bar, nobody at the table tops but us. (One of the people at the bar looked like an owner) uggg Time to leave! Sooo long crappie service, no idea how your food is but one cannot wait forever. What's a guy to-do!

This place is a dive, and has had a different name every year we've been in Indian Rocks Beach, but the food by the current regime is quite good. Fresh grouper portioned appropriately (neither too much or too expensive) good burgers, and the clam chowder is as good as anyone's, anywhere. The clientele is a slice of life not for the faint of heart, but it's an excellent place to drink outside, watch the game, and have a fun, inexpensive meal a block from the beach. Caution: lots of smokers.

This place had great service with great prices. Also I'm came in from Michigan and was hoping they would have the big10 network and they didn't... But after asking they they got on the phone and ordered it. Owners that care about customers

The new owners have done a great job at cleaning this place up in the very short amount of time they have owned it. Fun place, live music. I tried the fried grouper sandwich and it was so good and tasted very fresh! The fries and coleslaw were very good too! I'll definitely be back!!

I have lived on IRB all my life and this has become my new favorite hotspot. The outside has plenty of seating, a great bar, and live music. You can sit have a drink and watch the sun set. The inside has been totally remolded and look amazing! The new menu is great!
